Problems with current Padel raquet / pala protectoRs

They Actually Don't Protect

Not Recyclable, Not Reusable

They Actually Don't Protect

  • They are around 0.4mm thick - this thickness is simply not going to give you adequate protection.
  •  They are permanently stuck to the frame, so they don't move to spread the impact - another down side as this means they simply transfer the impact to the racquet.
  • Many dont even cover the edges - the edges are the point of the racquet MOST at risk of damage.

They Hide Damage

Not Recyclable, Not Reusable

They Actually Don't Protect

  • If you damage your racquet beneath one of these permanent protectors you won't be able to see it, although you may notice it while playing.
  • If you can't see it, the person who buys your racquet can't see it either and hence, they can't trust the racquet is not damaged.
  • If you remove the protector, you will most likely remove the paint from the frame also, that in itself damages the raquet.

Not Recyclable, Not Reusable

Not Recyclable, Not Reusable

Not Recyclable, Not Reusable

  • Mostly made of silicon, these protectors are not recyclable and so once you take them off you have to throw them away, bad for the environment.
  • They are naturally not reusable either, which is even worse for the environment and worse for your pocket.

Tennis - The Competition, is there any?

What Lies Beneath

A good name for a film, yes, but its also true in our business.  Yes again there are some tapes you can buy on ebay, but unless you remove a stick on protector, which will take the paint off your frame, you simply don't know what damage it is hiding underneath it!  This clearly isn't the case with ours as you can take it off and put it on without a problem.  So when you go to sell or buy a new racquet, now you can really see what condition it's in!

Re-stringing time

If you stick a protector on your tennis or squash racquet, what do you do when you break a string and need to restring it, well you have to peel the tape off and throw it away, expensive and bad for the planet!

Also If you look at most of the stuck on protectors, you will see they peel off around the edges and in fact most of them don't even cover the edges; not great protection at all.  They may be cheap, but as your mother told you, wash behind your ears and you pay for what you get!

It needs to move

In order to absorb the impact the protector needs to be able to move the force away from the point of impact.  The sticky tape type protectors, they simply transfer the impact to directly to the racquet frame.  Our protector is not only made from a different material, but its also thicker, and it will move to help reduce the effect of the impact on your frame, and in general prevent most of the damage that would otherwise occur.
